Our work extends from modest residential refurbishments to major new builds and urban regeneration projects, delivered across a very broad range of sectors, for clients in the public and private sectors.
Collins Rolston is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an unprecedented period of stellar growth, project diversification and innovation. Our experienced and talented team designs and delivers high quality projects right across the built environment spectrum, from complex heritage projects to health, education, social housing, high-end residential and social regeneration schemes.
Since our establishment in 1993 we have been privileged to have been entrusted as architects or project managers on a wide spectrum of schemes. Large and small: from the straightforward to the complex.
Our process always begins with listening to our clients and getting a true sense of what they are seeking to achieve. Then the magic starts to happen as our team gets to work designing a space that combines the very best in innovative design and practical use of space.
Where possible, we adopt a fabric first philosophy which involves maximising the performance of the components and materials that make up the building fabric itself, before considering the use of mechanical or electrical building services systems.
Basic elements of the building, including M&E installation prior to any consideration being given to the use of renewable energy sources.
This approach applies to the entire building envelope and incorporates the inclusion of high levels of insulation, low u-values, low air permeability and, where possible, the installation of heat recovery systems that together can deliver energy savings of almost 35% against other models.
This approach is led by the firm’s ISO 14001 accreditation with material selection guided by the ‘Green Guide to Specification’.
Our professional standing and expertise has been recognised by inclusion in a number of significant frameworks.
We have secured places on the following frameworks:
