Work is now underway on a new housing scheme for Clanmil Housing Group at Alloa Street, in the Lower Oldpark area in Belfast. Collins Rolston has designed the 12 new homes, including two bungalows suitable for wheelchair users.

The project was inspired by the historical “River Streets” neighbourhood – as the name suggests, each street was named after a river –demolished in the 1970s. The homes feature an updated terrace typology to suit the surrounding area and meet the latest high-quality housing requirements. The project is under construction by Kelly Brothers.

The homes are due to be completed this Autumn and are part of a regeneration project for the area under the Building Successful Communities (BSC) programme, produced in collaboration with Belfast City Council (TAG), Lower Oldpark Community Association (LOCA), NI Housing Executive, Department for Communities, consultants and residents.
